Bianca Turner
Bianca Turner is a multimedia performance designer, Brazilian artist based in London.
Bianca’s work is normally very varied because she likes to experiment with different media and their possibilities, but she is currently spending a lot of time working as an art director and production designer for short and feature films, theatre, dance and live performances. Because of her heavy involvement with film-making – both the creative and technical processes – the work she is currently developing as a solo artist is also more related to video art and installations. Her practice mixes design with “media”. She is particularly interested in developing “mixed-media performances”, events that combine live and mediatized representations, for example, live actors with film, video or digital projections.
For Braziliality, she works as a production designer, designing and organizing the exhibitions on-site and assisting the artists both visually and practically. She strongly believes in encouraging collaboration between artists, that’s why working in Braziliality is so exciting for her: “It allows me to meet new people and different styles of work, different perspectives, with only one purpose: art!”
